Have you ever wanted to walk the same path as a dinosaur? Look no further than Dinosaur Valley State Park. Head down to Glen Rose, Texas the "Dinosaur capital of Texas". Swim in the Paluxy River and slide along the river rocks. Along the river bed and banks are actual dinosaur tracks you can see and walk through.
The hiking at Dinosaur Valley is beginner friendly and beautiful. Bring a swimsuit to cool down in the river or check out the old time swimming hole, the Blue Hole. Stroll along the Monarch trail and see our state's butterfly's migratory route. This is definitely a family oriented park with fun filled activities for everyone.
The incredible, prehistoric history is a must-see Texas state park. Be sure to add this park to your Texan travel bucket list.
Check with the park's website for their upcoming events. Dinosaur Valley has lots of neat events like starry night hikes, track talks with rangers, archery, and junior ranger fun.
Don't forget to get your photo with the seventy foot fiberglass models of a Tyrannosaurus and Apatosaurus. These dinos were created for the 1964-1965 World's Fair.
