Space: The Final Frontier

Modern day space exploration up close and personal is as easy as a roadtrip to Brownsville, Texas.

Starbase is the home of the Texas location of the SpaceX program run by Elon Musk.

The future of space exploration is being created right on the coast. See the starships being constructed and the current starship awaiting launch approval. (as of October 2023)

Drive right up to the gates of the construction sites and witness how gigantic there rockets really are. It is truly mind-blowing to view the construction process of these vessels. (Fun Fact: these rockets are hoping to replace the current Falcon 9 rockets)

Pro tip: Drive down all the way to Boca Chica Beach and see the starship awaiting launch. You will get an unobstructed view and a bonus of a beautiful local beach! From this position check out the damage on the fuel towers. This is from the first launch that blew a crater in the concrete launch platform. (Fun Fact: after rebuilding the launch pad they added a steel plate that floods with water to keep it cool)
