Lake Mineral Wells State Park

Lake Mineral Wells State Park encompasses fun filled activities for the whole family. Check out Lake Mineral Wells and it's swimming area. You can fish off the fishing pier or rent a canoe and cruise the lake. You can also take your canoes down to the kayak and canoe launch, a neat feature of this state park.

A unique feature of Lake Mineral Wells State Park is the lake's spillway. Drive or walk across the flowing water!

Check out the tons of species of birds to see along the trails. You can see Canadian Geese, Carolina Wrens, and even Hummingbirds.

You can also expect to see some mammals like Skunks, Possums, and Texas' state small mammal, the Armadillo!

It's a bug's life out at Lake Mineral Wells State Park. Spot the Queen Butterfly, Green Lynx Spider, or a Tarantula.

Keep your eyes peeled and watch out for Rat Snakes or Texas Spiny LIzards.
